Why I Flood My Body with Nutrients to Stay in Rheumatoid Arthritis Remission for 17 Years.

If you’ve ever wondered how, it’s possible to stay in rheumatoid arthritis remission naturally, this is one of the biggest reasons I’ve been pain-free for 17 years.

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 38. Today, at 62, I remain in full remission, without medication, by making intentional daily choices that reduce inflammation and support my immune system.

One of the most important of those choices?I flood my body with nutrients every single day.

Anti-inflammatory Food

Rheumatoid Arthritis, Inflammation, and the Need for Nutrient Support

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition driven by chronic inflammation and immune system imbalance. When the body is inflamed, it burns through nutrients faster and struggles to repair itself.

Instead of suppressing symptoms, I focused on giving my body what it actually needed:

  • Consistent nourishment

  • Anti-inflammatory support

  • Foods that work with my biology

Why I Flood the Body with Vitamins and Antioxidants Daily

Flooding the body with nutrients isn’t about excess - it’s about restoring balance.

I focus on flooding the body with vitamins and antioxidants because they:

  • Help neutralize oxidative stress

  • Support immune regulation

  • Assist tissue repair

  • Calm systemic inflammation

When the body has access to the right nutrients, it doesn’t need to stay in “fight mode.”

My Daily Smoothie for Rheumatoid Arthritis Remission

One of my most powerful daily habits is my daily smoothie.

Smoothies allow nutrients to be absorbed quickly and gently - which is especially important when managing inflammation or autoimmune conditions.

My daily smoothie is built around:

  • Vegetables that work with biology

  • Whole, anti-inflammatory ingredients

  • Easily digestible nutrients

This simple routine helps keep my body nourished without overwhelming digestion.

Choosing Vegetables That Work with Biology

Not all vegetables are beneficial for everyone.

A major breakthrough in my healing came from understanding that vegetables that work with biology - your biology — matter far more than following generic health advice.

When you eat vegetables compatible with your body:

  • Digestive stress decreases

  • Immune reactions calm down

  • Inflammation reduces naturally

Eating the wrong “healthy” foods can quietly fuel autoimmune flare-ups. Eating the right ones creates stability.

Hydration: A Key to Reducing Inflammation Naturally

Proper nutrition cannot work without hydration.

I make it a priority to hydrate consistently throughout the day because hydration:

  • Helps transport nutrients into cells

  • Flushes inflammatory waste

  • Supports joint lubrication

  • Improves circulation and energy

Hydration is one of the most overlooked tools for reducing inflammation - yet one of the most powerful.

Daily Habits That Help Reduce Inflammation Long Term

Staying in remission hasn’t come from a single miracle food. It’s come from daily habits that repeatedly help reduce inflammation, including:

  • A nutrient-dense daily smoothie

  • Flooding the body with vitamins and antioxidants

  • Eating vegetables that work with biology

  • Staying consistently hydrated

  • Avoiding inflammatory food triggers

These small, consistent actions send a message to the immune system that it no longer needs to overreact.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Remission Is About Alignment, Not Force

I don’t believe the body is broken. I believe it’s incredibly intelligent.

When you support it with the right nutrients, hydration, and compatible foods, the body can shift out of chronic inflammation and into healing.

Seventeen years ago, my body showed me that rheumatoid arthritis remission is possible.Every day since, I’ve honoured that by continuing to nourish it - intentionally and consistently.
